Tahiti Fashion Week is a leading fashion & culture event in French Polynesia that showcases the creativity, craftsmanship, and identity of local designers, artisans, models — all infused with the unique heritage of the islands.

When: 15-19 October 2025.
Where: InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa, Faa’a, Tahiti.
Format: Three nights of fashion shows (Moana, Poerava evenings), model competition, presentation of new collections, plus events honoring traditional artisans.

What’s Special for 2025

Artisan Traditional Showcase
There is a call for traditional artisans to participate, highlighting local craftsmanship. Twelve artisans will be chosen to create unique wearable pieces (though not full garments) using local natural materials.
Model Casting & International Opportunities
The model contest is a big part of TFW. Local talent are scouted, and winners or finalists may be offered the opportunity to link up with international agencies (for example in Milan).
Candidates must meet certain criteria (height, presentation, etc.), and personality is considered as much as looks.
Cultural Fusion & Local Identity
The five-star resort venue will be transformed into a stage blending high fashion and Polynesian aesthetics: pareos, fabrics, tapa, nacre (mother of pearl), Perles de Tahiti, Monoï oil, weaving, natural fibers. Rather than just fashion, the event emphasizes a sense of place, culture, and eco-materials.

A cultura polinésia é vasta, rica e profundamente complexa — muito mais do que qualquer revista poderia conter. É por isso que escolhi me concentrar nas três áreas que mais me cativaram: dança, moda e decoração.

A dança é a alma da Polinésia — uma linguagem expressiva que conta histórias, preserva a herança e une comunidades. Naturalmente, o vestuário flui dessa tradição, com peças projetadas não apenas para a beleza, mas também para o movimento e o significado. E como designer de interiores, acredito que trazer o design polinésio para nossas casas é uma das maneiras mais inspiradoras de manter esse espírito vivo — por meio de texturas, cores e padrões que ecoam o calor e a elegância das ilhas.

Esta revista é uma celebração dessas paixões. Seja você atraído pelo ritmo das danças polinésias, pela arte dos tecidos pareu ou pela beleza tranquila dos espaços inspirados nas ilhas, espero que encontre aqui algo que traga um pouco mais de alma polinésia para o seu dia a dia.
